Probably all of us attempted to follow healthy lifestyle being persuaded by friends, mass media or advices of Hollywood stars. But unfortunately many of us failed, before we achieved some outstanding results. This happens mostly because our enthusiasm lasts not longer than a couple of days. Why aren’t we strong-willed enough to live healthy life? Is it so difficult to follow healthy lifestyle?

As a rule, we fail in changing our life only because we try to make great changes in one day. Just imagine that after years of sedentary life when you already got used to sitting in front of the monitor with a cup of coffee and cookies for hours you decide to eat nothing, but raw vegetables, train in the gym every day, give up smoking etc. There are too many changes for one person to make within a short period of time. Certainly such changes may cause additional stress, and hence instead of starting leaving healthy and happy life we just become more nervous and soon give up everything.

So, what should we do? Is there any way out? Fortunately, there is a solution to the problem which is called “lack of enthusiasm”, and it is not extraordinary or complicated. It is something we all know, but never remember.

If you want to change your lifestyle into a healthy one, you should make all changes gradually. Start with something small and easy. In this case the life will change imperceptibly without any stresses and efforts.

In case you want to add more motion to your sedentary life, it is not necessary to undertake some exhaustive training. For a start, walk more instead of driving the car. Walking in the fresh air will be a good rest for your brain and exercise for your legs. If you have problems with sleep, they will be eliminated due to regular walks. Besides, it will help you to prepare your body for more serious training. When you are in the gym, you will not die on the treadmill in a few minutes.

The same approach would be ideal for changing nutrition strategy. Just refuse from the unhealthiest products step-by-step and replace them with vegetables, fruits, fish, meat, cereals, and dairy products. For example, exclude crisps and chips, if you eat plenty of them or avoid fast foods and eat something more healthy and substantial for your lunch. The main thing is not to refuse from all usual products at once; in this case you will most probably return to your meals and refuse to make any positive changes in future.

Everything is possible in this life. You just shouldn’t overestimate your patience and undertake great changes within one day. Spend more time to change your lifestyle, and in this case you will surely reach your goal.
